Originally from Roscommon but now based in the Dublin area Geraldine Fitzgerald is a singer with a special interest in traditional and sean nos styles. Formerly a competitor in the fleadhs, she has more recently been a County adjudicator and facilitator of singing workshops. Ger has performed newly composed Irish language songs by kind invitation of songwriter Damian McGabhann at the Pan Celtic competition in Carlow 2012 and 2013. Recently she performed at Tinol in Clondalkin, headlined by Mairtin Tom Sheainin Mac Donnacha, as part of Aras Chronain's Gathering celebrations and Feis na nGael, a celebration of Irish and Scottish Gaelic Tradition. We are delighted to welcome Mícheál Ned Quinn back to the Góilín to launch his new CD "Stories from the Foot of Slieve Gulllion". This double CD contains live recordings of Mick in action at events where he has become a regular guest over the years. Mick is very kindly donating all proceeds from his CD to the Irish Kidney Association. This promises to be a night to remember!

Friday, 01 March 2013 The Keelers
The Keelers were set up in 1986 in time for the Newcastle Tall Ships' Race. In fact, their first gig was a recording for BBC Radio Newcastle at the newly opened Fenham studios. Twelve shanties were put down in an hour and a half, and were used by the BBC as background for their coverage of the Tall Ships sailing day. They are still occasionally heard to back up something of a nautical theme. The group at its inception was Alan Fitzsimons, Jim Mageean, Peter Wood and the two Wilson brothers Steve and Mike. The group currently consists of Alan, Jim, Peter and George Unthank. Club meets at 9:30 sharp. The Teacher's Club, Parnell Square. Entrance fee of €3.00, and all visitors/singers are welcome.

Singer Mai Hernon was born in the heart of Coleman County, Gurteen, Co Sligo. It is the birthplace of Michael Coleman, a rich hamlet of Irish culture where singers, flautists and fiddlers like Peter Horan, Fred Finn, Seamus Tansey, abound. Peadar Ó Ceannabháin, from Iorras Aintheach in West Connemara, is widely acknowledged as one of the most exceptional traditional singers of our time. Mo Chuid Den tSaol is his first album, although his songs have been featured in a number of other recordings. Ó Ceannabháin's immense and sensitive understanding of, and devotion to the rich tradition of Iorras Aintheach in the Connemara Gaeltacht where he grew up. Club meets at 9:30 sharp.
